Habitat For Humanity - New York City Volunteering

"A Brush With Kindness" projects in schools, church halls and community centers in the areas where our construction sites are located and usually consist of painting, minor construction and/or cleaning in an effort to help the communities where our Family Partners will reside. John Wesley UMC is located very near to our Hart-Lafayette homes currently underway. The church serves the community through feeding programs, senior services, and educational programs. Most recently, Habitat-NYC partnered with the church on our Loan Rangers campaign and gave a presentation to 25 community members on Refund Anticipation Loans and their alternatives. You will be installing a new hardwood floor in the community room used for these types of programs. The materials for this project were purchased by the church.
